How can the local church change the world?

When I got into ministry, I did it for the sole purpose of inspiriting and leading the local church to change the world for Christ. I got into it to work against the "comfort gospel" of not changing things because a certain group at a congregation would get angry, I got into it to do whatever is profitable to further the Kingdom of God.

My question is, how can the local church change the world?
